*a 3 inch round craft punch works great with this design

*glue tape rollers are a great alternative to standard tape. When using a heavier stock, I would recommend using a stronger glue

*applying a glue dot prior to stabbing the skewer gives you an instant hold

*for extra durabilty, I recommend securing with additional wet glue which can set around stick.

Heading to the Final Round!!

We will be moving on to the final round at the Best of the Bay wedding vendor competition for a shot at the Best of the Bay title in the invitations category! The final round will be judged by celebrity designers in the wedding industry. The exciting red carpet awards gala will be held next Thursday November 18th at the San Francisco Regency and will be televised on KRON4. This has been a very exciting month for us pyp will have 2 television appearances for the month of November! We are very excited!!

Last week we were asked to compete in the Best of the Bay wedding vendor competition in the invitations category for Napa County; a competition hosted by Bride 9 Magazine. A Pennant Party!

Introducing our newest design Addison, named after my sweet baby girl, (and Katie's sweet little niece ) whom we cannot believe is going to be 3! Where did the time go? Here is a peek of the invitation and invitation coordinates I designed for my Addy's birthday party which of course we'll be adding to the shop! This design is great for any girl or boy (it is available in boy colors too) aged 3-30, it simply screams- "Let's Celebrate!"

Hot Wheels

These invitations were created for our very own off spring! Though I must admit designing around hot wheels would not be my number one choice, it's what my little guy wanted and we all want to give our kids exactly what they want- right! This design is a perfect example of how we can incorporate jpeg images into our designs when the design in need may be a main stream licensed graphic like so...

He specifically wanted Hot Wheels Battle Force 5, a popular tv show right now.

And this is my son after all, so of course it did not end there! I'm sure I had all the fellow kindergarten parents wondering just what I was thinking when they received an invitation to a 6 year olds birthday party which included enclosures!

With the school year coming to a close, my son's party was a way out from the time he had to pass out his invitations. So to put my mind at ease that not everyone would forget, I created calendar reminder stickers.

To create calendar markers, I simply printed a card and attached a small round sticker. To create stickers simply print on full sheet label and as with all our round designs, punch with a round paper punch. I then attached the sticker to the card with a glue dot and viola, your guests now have a sticker to put right on their calendar so they don't forget your event!

And to finish off the perfect invitation, a name sticker and envelope seal were placed on each envelope.

We are so happy to have this new precious life as part of our family. I threw this printable together quickly toady to take with me for my 1st visit with my new nephew. Print Your Party is having a baby...

Well, one of us is! Katie, my sister-in-law (and other half of PYP) is due to have her 2nd son in April. I have been having so much fun designing printables for her baby shower. Here is a sneak peek of the design that will grace her shower. Check back next month to see photos of the "Real PYP" event and all the coordinating printables.

There is noting more classic then a stork for a baby shower theme. And while it's classic, it was a little too old fashion for my taste. I modernized this stork in what I simply call our "birdie stork" design. This new design will soon be available at PYP .

This invitation is a perfect example of how you can use your imagination to further personalize our printables. They can be embellished with ribbon and gems matted on textured papers, or in this case made 2 dimensional with the addition of a cloud cut out- the sky is the limit!

To create this look, I simply typed up my text in repetition on one page, and punched them out with a uchida cloud paper punch. Paper punches are available in every shape under the sun, we LOVE using them at PYP!

I then cut a small slit along the belly of the birdie to insert my cloud cut out...

I slid the cloud punch into the belly of the birdie...

And then secured it by sticking a white round sticker to the back. When is comes to finishing work we always recommend trying to find the most finished look possible. While gluing an entire sheet of card stock to the back would have created the most finished look, let's be honest, that would have been quite time consuming. Scotch tape would have been messy and unsightly, so I opted for the round sticker, it blends with the back and is nice and neat.

And of course I created a coordinating seal. This envelope seal doubles as a return address label...

Again using a uchida punch, this time a 1.5 round punch. This is how we recommend you punch out all of our round designs. They come out perfect every time and it's easy as pie!

We are going into our 4th month as a small new business so once in a while it's fun to google our shop to see what I can find and it's exciting to see that people are talking about us! Mostly blogs, and blogs all around the world at that. Though I could not understand what the international blogs were saying since I am not bilingual, it's exciting to see people excited about our products, so much that they are taking upon themselves to share it with everyone! I will share a few things I was tickled to see...

I think I was the most excited to see this one- A small article featured on my diy wedding day, a site put on by the WeddingChannel.com, featured our stir stick design.

It was also exciting to see many personal blogs give us mention, this one was one of my favs that had us featured- Everyday Beautiful featured our printable wine label.

And last, a google caption that had us next to Amsale, caught my attention. I was thrilled to see that Project Wedding has a link to our page on Amsale's Project Wedding Page under "Find More Designer's like This"!! Though we don't design dresses, you can compare us to a high caliber designer like Amsale any day, what a wonderful compliment! Thanks Project Wedding! This surely explains the daily international hits we have been receiving on our Project Wedding Page.

So call it "tooting your own horn" but it's exciting to see something that started from nothing but a simple idea a few months ago grow into something that people are talking about. And all this has come just from our little shop on etsy, I can't wait to see what our official website brings- as of today it is officially under construction. Katie- I say we give ourselves a pat on the back!

Etsy Treasury

Thanks to the gals on our wonderful Etsy Wedding Team, this is the 3rd Treasury we have made in our 3 short on months on etsy. For those of you not familiar with etsy, a treasury is a collection of items from etsy shops that fit together by some type of theme. The more views a treasury gets, the higher it moves up the list of treasuries. The higher up the list, the more likely it is to be featured on the front page of etsy. This treasury is titled "You're Invited!"

All of our PDF designs are laid out to yield the most possible items per page to help you save on paper expenses. This design can be printed in black & white at Kinko's for just 20 cents a sheet and that includes nice card stock!! That means items such as our programs & menus are just 10 cents a piece! Labels & tags from this collection can yield up to 24 per sheet- that's less than a penny a tag- you just can not beat that! A little DIY, helps your pennies go a long way!

We are excited to list something a little different in our shop; something that's great for both parties and everyday! Our unique printable return address labels compliment our printable invitations beautifully and can also be used everyday on the rest of your mail. These classy labels are not just for addresses, they can be customized to read anything you wish! They work great great for labeling everything from your kids school books with a "this belongs to" sticker to labeling kitchen gifts with "from the kitchen of", and don't forget as with all our printables, these can be printed as tags as well by simply printing on card stock instead of label sheets. We are starting off with 8 designs; more to come!

These labels make for great Mother's Day gifts, any mom would love a little something to make her mail look pretty. For the computer savvy mom, send it right to her email, I know I would love to open up a nice little surprise like that. A little something for Easter

While we hadn't planned on creating any seasonal designs with such little time till the next big holiday we just couldn't hold ourselves back! So here's a few things we quickly threw together for Easter.

Our carrot cone (inspired by our wedding cone) makes for a charming way to present treats. Fill with treats and green easter grass and it's a perfect little carrot, minus the vitamin C! We also came up with some egg tags, perfect for baskets and other treats, print as tags or stickers. They come in girly colors in a pretty damask and in boy colors in a polka dot print.

Introducing Print Your Party...

Hello! We are Andrea and Katie and we are so excited to introduce Print Your Party. We offer printable invitations, labels, tags, games and more. We have designs for a variety of events and most can be customized. Once you purchase a design, we send you a PDF file via email, which you can then print yourself. You can print as much as you want and save a bundle compared to conventional party supplies! We are starting off on etsy- printyourparty.etsy.com and will soon have an official website- printyourparty.com.

We have been hard at work the past 4 months creating party designs. We came up with this idea back in December and while having a bunch of little rug rats at our feet and husbands on opposite schedules, it’s taken us quite some time to get our 1^st design listed; not to mention the fact that we are totally new to graphic design and learning as we go! We are using (or I guess I should say “learning” how to use) Adobe’s Illustrator and we still have so much to learn, but we are having so much fun every step of the way.

So after few long days and nights of us sitting in front of our Macs with Starbucks and chocolate, we are proud to introduce our 1^st design- Peighton. Peighton was used at a baby shower a few weeks ago and we are so happy to announce it was a hit! Peighton is available in peony as shown, but also in robin’s egg blue, honey dew green and butter yellow. It works great for baby showers, little girl events, Easter and anything else you might want to have a cute little birdie at! So take a peak at our new shop and help us spread the word that we are open for business.

We still have so much to add to the shop, Peighton is just one of many designs we plan to sell. We will soon be listing, birthday, bridal, wedding, bachelorette, baby & kids and many many more designs, so check back soon!
